Do you know the repair plan/order for the lock repairs? I'm at T&K looking to go to downstream when I can but restricted by Hambleden, Marlow and Bray.

Update - Romney now open but at Cookham we are trapped between Bray and Marlow.

EA Thames have revised their winter stoppages:

'The reason for Issue 5 is mainly due to high water levels and Red boards on the Thames which have impacted on start times.'

Who could have predicted high flows and levels in the winter months..........................

Revised programme attached with nearly all works postponed to the New Year - Christmas boating secured!

I am pressing EA to return to their policy of opening as many locks as possible in the Christmas / New year construction industry shut down - they are looking at it!

And the following day they come up with an update!

The Environment Agency publish this list of 7 locks for 'planning purposes' - theirs - not yours!

The notified start date is notional and currently there are no specific contractor agreed dates.

Last year none of the closures took place until the New Year which allowed continued cruising for nearly 3 months.

I will update as information comes available - and the website linked will be updated from time to time.
