VNF vignette website having fun this morning.  Opera and Edge wouldn't work.  Chrome on PC wouldn't, but on a tablet did, but wouldn't accept key strokes for Expiry date.  Scanning card did work.  Then VNF payments decided bank authorisation took too long, no longer than normal, and annulled transaction.  Stuck with the vignette in the panier!!

They sell them at the Ports of Entry where you have to check in as you enter France.  At Givet, they were quite surprised that I had my pass already as most boats seem to buy them as they enter.  I am now a firm convert to the wait until you enter france cohort as if you wait until the last minute, you will have a better idea on how long it is possible to stay.  Last year we paid for a whole year but our plans were all cancelled by  the drought.  Had I waited I would have saved hundreds of Euros.

The VNF give you a free plastic sleeve which sticks to the window like a car tax disk at any of the locks where they sell the passes.

Hi Mike

Laminating is one thing but does not attach to the window!
Being cheap I use snack or sandwich bags then plaster them up with tape.
Does anyone else bother to put multiple copies on one page?

Regards
Chris

Well I suppose that’s fine! I know our’s would either get damp and rot if not laminated or the back would have loads of sellotape and look like a badly-packed Amazon return…..

> I laminate it and stick it in the wheelhouse window.

Why bother to laminate it?  I just print a couple of copies and stick
one each side in the window.
