Renewed online using a VPN, no problems.
It applies the 17% discount, just doesn't say it anywhere.

Just renewed ours, it took a lot of searching to find a link that worked, there are lots of VNF trails to follow and most of them lead to dead ends. Sorry, can't remember which one actually worked properly. And then my b*****y printer refused to recognise the computer. Technology!

Hi all,
For what it's worth, I have just accessed VNF via my VPN(Paris) here in Australia and the amount quoted has the discount already applied, 25m = 642 Euros against 773 calculated. Increase from 2022 appears to be minimal according to Mastercard exchange rates.
Cheers, Phil

They probably already have 'a professional' and that's the problem, the
triumph of form over function.

Correction ! It has taken the 17% off. It now refuses to process the payment! I’ve opened and renewed without avail. It’s a shame that this annual annoyance is there. Hopefully they’ll get a professional on to it.
I’ll try again tomorrow as it may be a payment system glich…

Hi All,
I’m on their web page after ditching the Ipad and using a laptop. I’ve used a VPN in France and am in, however, the 17% discount doesn’t work. I’m using “ Edge” as the browser.
Anyone else had success?
cheers
Roelf

Hi all
Despite setting Firefox to allow ssb applications to run, it does not support/run the VNF Plaisance web application. This is a pity as having a proxy attached to only the browser is easy with FF, available as an extension and you can move it around Eu (Germany etc) easily. For security reasons in Firefox you should not allow ssb.enabled = true in about:config, it did function in the (distant) past.
Google Chrome worked fine as you would expect,
Edge is Chrome based so you would expect it to work.
Regards
Chris

I don't believe changing the Web browser is the issue. I use Google Chrome and when I am on the Australian internet it fails to load the VNF pages. I switched to a VPN located in France and the VNF page loads immediately with the same Web browser.
After purchasing my vignette last week i received an email from the VNF requesting I take part in an online survey. I could only load the survey after switching to the VPN. I left comments in the survey advising of this issue.

Concerning the problem of access to the VNF website, it is not impossible that this is due to the web browser used. I advise you to use another web browser such as Microsoft Edge (from experience, this browser is adequate)
