Update: I’ve managed to work out what to do now and completed the maintenance on both the gearbox and clutch and all is well 👍

Hi Tom having done an engine oil change I am starting work on the clutch/gearbox. After struggling with removal of the plugs s and r on the clutch drum I realised the drum was completely dry (bit worrying) I proceeded to fill with paraffin to wash the plates, I’m hoping  it doesn’t hold much as it soon started the run out below, I was assuming i  would fill the drum, so I hope I haven’t got a problem? The instructions go on about the level being just below the boarder of ri ng aa, but this isn’t clear as to where this is . Is it just a little sump at the bottom of the drum that holds oil ? If so I don’t know what would stop it spitting out as it rotates and eventually run dry!
Secondly the gearbox oil level isn’t clear to me, my version is the 105 which is covered by the first drawing in the manual but in the drawing it has plug n positioned at the top, then there should be a plug o just under the shaft about 1/3 of the way up, but I just have two plugs like the clutch drum positioned top and bottom of the rotating drum b so I have no idea to what level it should be filled, not sure if I’m just being dense but I’m confused! Hope you can shed some light on the matter. 👍 Phil

Hi Tom thanks for the reply. I have some manuals on it but have never done any oil change before and I am a little unsure of what oils to use, in the instructions it talks of filling drum b on the diagram with 4/5 parts heavy cylinder oil and 1/5 of well fluid engine oil, have you ever refilled this and what oil have you used?
also under the instructions for the clutch it says to wash the plates every 2 or 3 weeks (which seems excessive) with paraffin and refilled with engine oil (no description) to just below the border of ring AA, I have no idea where this ring is. Any ideas? I’ve attached the instructions
