Another meeting hosted by Toulouse Metropole with VNF DT SO was held on the 20th October to discuss works needed in the centre of Toulouse.  I was unable to attend this meeting but attach here the PowerPoint 'slides' which speak of the reason for the meeting.

The follow-up meeting to the one referred to in the summer took place by videoconference on 14th December and I attended online. As I was in the early stages of covid please excuse the simplicity of my report.

Mr Cyril Ladier, Chief Engineer in charge of the project to extend the Toulouse Metro line B gave his report on progress that had been made since the earlier meeting. The following screenshots which I took during the meeting contain the detail of his presentation.

The city of Toulouse is to extend the Metro system over the coming years. A new line is proposed for 2026 and an extension to Line B is being planned for 2022/23. The work for this will impact the Canal du Midi and a meeting was held to allow the engineers to elaborate on their studies and plans and to listen to members of the Commission Locale des Usagers voice any concerns.

A short by-pass canal is to be built to take traffic away from the site while works continue adjacent to the canal and this will require a chômage or stoppage the duration of which has not been decided upon. Any and all stoppages will be during the winter between November and February.

Attached is a report from the engineers as well as a couple of screenshots I took during the meeting.

Another meeting will take place in the autumn.
