Your VHF ship radio licence matches ship's flag state. So, yes if FR flagged, FR SRL. Hopefully French will accept a UK VHF certificate, otherwise you'll have to take the FR test.
Then FR will issue DSC MMSI and ATIS MMSI.

Does anyone know if there will be any problem having a radio licence and AIS linked to ofcoem after dec 31st? I =f we re-register our barge as French do we also need to change the radio licence and AIS?
