Hi Liam

Earlier in the year I saw there is a scheduled chomarge, from memory July for a few weeks.

As this is the only commercial route North to South it only fully closes for maintenance in the winter.

I read it as work on the "chemin de fer", or Railway,

Water traffic interrupted.

I would have deduced from that there is work being undertaken on the train track that runs by the side of the canal, and this may cause interruption of navigation.

Normally if the canal is closed they put "Stop" rather than interrupted.

You can see the scheduled chomarge list on the VNF site.

Also there is a national phone number, again on vnf.fr they have English speaking operators, give them a call and ask.

Please post your findings for others to benefit.

Thanks
Paul Hayes
