There is as I recall a lock alongside the flood gate at Krimpen aan de IJssel, famed for being there to maintain navigation just in case of a once in a hundred year flood. Have you checked whether this is working?

Hello all
I'm just planning my route south from Gouda towards Dordrecht and it seems that there will be a complete blockage 16th-19th at the storm barrage just north of the Niuewe Maas, followed by half hour delays from 20th. At least, that's my interpretation! There is no easy bypass.

I'm writing this while awaiting the Wilhelminabrug in Leiden. The work is not supposed to start for another week, according to the sign. Fortunately it is only for a couple of hours.

Can anyone shed any more light on this please?
