Anyone able to attend on behalf of DBA? (There is a DBA Board Meeting that day so none of the Board are available)

Travel expenses refunded in exchange for a short personal meeting report!

You are invited to IWA 60th Annual General Meeting, to be held at St Thomas More Catholic Academy in Stoke on Trent on Saturday 28th September 2019.

Online booking for the AGM and other activities is now open. The form for trustee candidate nominations is also now online. This year there are three trustee places and five candidates.

There is a packed day of presentations and activities on offer and the local IWA branch, North Staffordshire and South Cheshire, have plans that will keep you entertained for the full weekend.

See full AGM agenda and information on the website or read on to find out more.

The AGM lunch is included as part of the day but please book in advance so that we can cater for you.

Bookable afternoon activities include a Heritage Trail of Middleport Pottery (£4-£5.50) and a walk and talk visit to Burslem Port (no cost but please note that places are limited). The Branch is also hosting an evening meal and social gathering (£8.50).

See below or visit the website to find out more about the AGM activities. You can book all these activities online for up to four people.

There are three trustee vacancies this year. Nominations have been received for Rick Barnes, John Butler, Ivor Caplan, David Chapman and Peter Scott. Thus, there are five nominees for three vacancies and there is a requirement for a ballot. See candidate nominations.

A hustings is taking place at IWA's Festival of Water at 11am on Sunday 25th August. Please head to the volunteer work camp at the Festival. Parking at the site is free. See Festival location information. '

Contact me for more details if interested.

You don't need a barge to join - a dream of boating in Europe will do'. See www.barges.org
