TOPIC: New water heater

New water heater 22 Jan 2020 16:36 #113124

Hello Pete,

Bubble stoves supplied our drip feed Rayburn 20 years ago. The only issues have been with the fuel metering valve - but then there is little else to go wrong! Spares have been supplied along with expert advice through the years and their website has information not found elsewhere including a willingness to ship to Belgium. The business founder, Terry Hibbard, was building his own barge and was a member until ill-health forced him to give up that plan.

If / When my aged central heating boiler fails I will be going to Bubble Stoves first! £1800 - good value.

You don't need a barge to join - a dream of boating in Europe will do'. See www.barges.org

I need a CH & HW heater for a small (16m) barge after I've put in new insulation. I have a Kabola B on another barge, which is super, but for the new barge the equivalent heater from Bubble is about half the price so I'm torn between the two.

What experience do people have of Bubble heaters? And of getting them serviced or repaired on the mainland?

Pete
